Washington DC - Intersecting Journeys

Whenever and wherever we travel our paths always intertwine with those around us. This time we had the privilege to attend Nadia and Andrejs' wedding. They beamed as they vowed to continue their journey together on an even deeper and richer level.

Soon, another will join their journey as they become a family.

We managed to fit in a couple of museums at the Smithsonian. Previews of coming attractions when we get to Paris were seen at the National Gallery of Art in the Impressionists wing. I love getting really close up to the paintings to actually see the brush strokes and feel the hand behind the stroke or the drawn line.

And whom did we find at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History? The PINK CAPS!  We are super stars! Our pod is immortalized for all to see in the Smithsonian, imagine that! Thank you Don Bloom for being 'photographer extrodinaire' and chronicling our pod for over 20 years of great Maui swims. The Smithsonian thanks you too!

We of course had to stop several tourists to snap our photo next to our picture.

Next stop Paris, and with the luck of the draw, we got TSAprecheck!
