Character Studies or Study of Characters?

Can you guess which country we are in now?

Stereo types? You decide.

Shifting focal points; Janet is either the perfect subject or the perfect decoy.

Doggie park Italian style, little boys with the chihuahuas and the big boys with dobermans.

Language has not been a problem between google translator and a generous dose of laughter its easy to understand each other.

Now that the Maui gang is all here, we too have joined the cast of characters.

Paris - Museums-Performances-Reunions

In spite of the floods preventing our viewing of the Orsay, Louvre and Monet's Gardens in Giverny we were able to see some very interesting museums which we might have missed otherwise.

Portraits were abundant inside and outside the museums. Along with fantastic performances in churches, subways and in the streets.

Image overload? Impossible not to be in Paris and this is a very edited group of photos.

Fun reunions were had by all with our Maui Pod in Paris! Where's Maggie? With all of us on Don's blog. http://www.dolphindude.com/2016/06/up-too-late.html

Only in Paris can I have an ice cream bar designed to my own personal specification!

Paris- Tasty Morsels

After a fabulous dinner last night at a restaurant that was just as much a feast for the eyes as for the mouth we went to the Orsay Museum this afternoon.

I love zeroing in on what really catches my eye in a scene or a painting.  Is it artistic sacrilege to edit the great masters down to a tasty morsel?  Not to me.

Unfortunately our afternoon at the museum was cut short when everyone was escorted out of the museum before it officially closed because of 'a problem with too much water in the Seine'. We couldn't understand why this was a problem but surmised there might be some worry about the basement and flooding? Apparently it is the rainiest May in Paris in 130 years and the Seine is rising beyond belief. We will see if it is open or closed tomorrow to resume our viewing, we only saw half of one floor. Bummer!

Outside we watched the show as a dog was being rescued off a houseboat. Why? Not sure, but everyone watching from the bridge cheered in delight when the german shepherd was successfully carried down the ramp into the waiting dingy and escorted back to dry land.

Looks like another precious item had a better fate than its larger counterpart.
