Nerves of Steel

We’ve done it. We’ve passed and survived the penultimate white knuckle challenge; driving in India. Traveling in any vehicle on the road in India is more akin to an extreme sport than a mode of transportation. Janet, my shero, and I finally crossed over to pro status when we rented a motorbike and entered the fast lane in India. Needless to say there is no slow lane, in fact forget about lanes it’s a mad insane free for all, and the biggest always wins. No helmets, no working rear view mirrors other than me telling Janet when a lorry was going to run us off the road from behind, and an ample supply of adrenalin and away we went. Nerves of steel and the sanity of fools but we survived to share our taste of freedom!

  2. Hey Patti and Janet! Great to see you are having such FUN! We miss you both, and Patti, all the artists in class are asking about you! I've got some work in Viewpoints' Celebration of Hawaii (three paintings) opening this weekend! Ya see? And Karin (and four others) is in the Sunday studio class! XOXOXOX
